Bethenny Frankel says she spoke with both Andy Cohen and Jeff Lewis after they clashed on WWHL

Bethenny Frankel hinted that she received apologies from Jeff Lewis and Andy Cohen after a very fiery clash between the trio on Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.

During the show the mogul, 52, branded Lewis, 52, ‘bitter and angry’ and also came for the show’s host Andy Cohen, 54, after he called her ‘hypocritical’ for launching a Real Housewives podcast despite ‘trashing’ the franchise over the years.

However, on Thursday Frankel shared a clip to her Instagram stories revealing she spoke to both men on the phone, adding, ‘you’ve gotta accept people’s apologies.’

Apologies? Bethenny Frankel hinted that she received apologies from Andy Cohen and Jeff Lewis after a very fiery clash between the trio on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday

‘What a circus of emotions today. Had a phone call with Andy, had a phone call with Jeff Lewis,’ she said at the beginning of the clip.

‘Read so many comments. Only did two podcasts on this topic. Love you all, gotta have a good sense of humor about everything and also, gotta accept people’s apologies and be transparent and roll with the punches.’

Lewis also addressed the situation on his podcast, Jeff Lewis Live, on Thursday, and shared that although he thought everything was fine between them after the show, he learned from Bethenny’s podcast that she was upset with him.

‘There has been a lot of rumblings, and press and comments, and reaction. It’s not the reaction I thought it would be. There’s a lot of “I schooled Bethenny” and “I handled Bethenny” and “I put Bethenny in her place” I actually don’t see it that way,’ Lewis said.

I’ve known Bethenny for years, I’ve been on the show with her before. I walked into that studio knowing that this is the person I can have fun with.’

‘I can throw joking insults, I can poke the bear, and I know that she’s gonna come back… and she did,’ he went on.

He also added that everything was fine between them when they left the show. ‘I felt like she got the zingers in at me too. She came for me too, which I loved, I was like loving it,’ he emphasized.

He then shared that all was well after they shot the episode, and that Bethenny gave him and his daughter Monroe a gift.

‘After the show, she was very kind, she gave me this beautiful hand painted Christmas ornament that she bought in Italy. She gave Monroe a Squishmallow.’

However when he shared a DM exchange the two had afterwards, it certainly seemed Bethenny was a tad frosty.

Lewis shared that he wrote: ‘I loved seeing you last night, you made me laugh so hard. Thank you so much for the thoughtful holiday gifts, the ornament is beautiful, Monroe loved the pineapple, she slept with it last night which is so cute. Thank you for your generosity (kissy face).’

To which Bethenny curtly replied: ‘I’m glad she liked it. It was definitely interesting.’

That’s when he realized that all might not be well between them, saying he ‘got nervous’ and hoped she ‘wasn’t insulted.’

Not good: Lewis said Bethenny called him 'mean, nasty and toxic' and when they messaged she shared that reading people's comments helped her process the situation and realize she had been 'ambushed'

They shared two other messages, and then Lewis said he listened to her podcast where she called him ‘mean’ and ‘nasty’ and ‘toxic.’

He then messaged Bethenny once again, confronting her about what she said on her podcast, and she shared that although she had fun, after reading comments from viewers she had processed that she had actually been ‘ambushed.’

The awkward exchange kicked off when Andy insisted that he and Bethenny ‘hash out’ their feud on air.

‘I thought it was kind of hypocritical of you [launch the podcast] because you have been trashing the Housewives publicly for the last three years, to now go deep on the housewives,’ Andy explained.

Bethenny’s gripe was that Andy had decided to voice his opinion ‘publicly’ instead of ‘privately.’

‘What I said to you privately was, wow, I’m glad to see you are embracing the housewives,’ Andy replied, with Bethenny firing back with, ‘Which is not the same thing you said publicly’ and that they had’t spoke about the situation ‘until now.’

Andy clarified that his public criticism came as a result of him being ‘surprised’ and ‘shocked’ that Bethenny would host a Real Housewives podcast after ‘trashing the show for three years.’

‘No, I actually haven’t been trashing the show,’ she replied. ‘I said it wasn’t for me because I do think it was toxic and I’m entitled to not want to be there but still want to talk about it.

Briefly pausing the tense back-and-forth, Andy engaged Jeff to ask if he’s ‘enjoying the spectacle’ with the interior designer admitting that he felt ‘very uncomfortable.

Bethenny later called Lewis ‘bitter’ and told him that he ‘opened the door’ on this conversation by shading her podcast.

‘If we were on a show together, it would be a carnage,’ Bethenny remarked, with Andy reminding both of them that they ‘are on a show together’ right now.
